Joe & Shelly {Married} Seeley Lake, MT

Joe & Richelle are married and it was a stunning wedding! I met this couple for the first time the Tuesday before their Saturday wedding.  They live out of state so it made meeting earlier not an option.  I was so impressed with how calm Joe & Richelle seemed despite the fact that their venue was in Seeley Lake and people were being encouraged to leave the area due to heavy smoke from the Rice Ridge Fire.  They had a back up plan, but were really wanting to get married at their chosen venue.  Friday I texted Richelle to check on the conditions at Seeley Lake and she said they were moving forward with getting married at the Double Arrow Lodge.  I was so glad to hear that they were getting to hold their wedding at their location.

Joe & Richelle chose the Double Arrow Lodge for their venue.  It was a fantastic venue!  I loved that the property was spread out and offered cabins for family and friends to stay in.  Typically the views of the mountains would be beautiful, but the smoke made it difficult to see all the beauty.  Despite the smokey haze we were still able to get some breathtaking pictures!  Thankfully the Double Arrow Lodge had a pretty pond that worked perfectly for pictures.

As I spent the day with Joe & Richelle I had the opportunity to get to know them a little better.  I found myself in awe of all the love that filled their day.  This bride & groom have dedication in life, love and in their careers.  They have spent years living in different states while they each completed medical school and their residencies.  I am so excited that they get to be in the same place and enjoy the company of each other now in person rather than over Skype. Watching their family and friends celebrate their love and their accomplishments was truly special.

Joe & Richelle thank you so much for trusting me to be your photographer even though we didn't meet until the week of your wedding.  Thank you for allowing me to witness and document through pictures one of the most special days of your lives.  I wish you the very best as you begin a lifetime together.  I hope that your days are filled with friendship, love, laughter, lots of pie and grand adventures!
